Subscriptions
You can use Toucan Post for free, or subscribe for $5 USD per month.
Free users can:

Subscribed users can:
- Post to X/Twitter
Subscriptions are managed through Stripe Checkout. You'll be taken to Stripe to pay, and you can cancel at any time from their billing portal. We don't store any billing information.
You will receive a reminder email three days before your subscription gets renewed, and a receipt upon payment.
Canceling your subscription will terminate your subscription immediately, then issue a pro-rated refund within the next couple days. There's no trial period for paid subscriptions, but I'll give you a full refund if you ask.
Bluesky
You can post to Bluesky ([bsky.app])(https://bsky.app) for free!
Character Limits
Bluesky limits posts to 300 characters.
Shortened URLs
Bluesky automatically shortens URLs when you write a post. On bsky.app, when you compose a post, URLs that start with http:// or https:// get shortened to save characters. Other plain addresses stay the same. For example:
https://www.toucanpost.com/very-long-url-herebecomeswww.toucanpost.com/very-long-ur....http://t.co/very-long-url-herebecomest.co/very-long-ur...www.toucanpost.com/very-long-url-herestays the same.
Toucan Post shortens Bluesky URLs like this too. You can disable URL shortening in your preferences.
X (Twitter)
Posting to X is limited to subscribed users.
Character Limits
- X limits posts are limited to 280 characters.
- URLs only count as 23 characters.
- @mentions count as 0 characters.
